Hello!

We are Fenómena.

We were born on opposite sides of Spain (Galicia and Valencia) and now we live in the same place. For some reason, people keep confusing us. We don’t really see it, but we accept it. We definitely find the same things funny.

Fenómena is the creative duo formed by illustrator Alba Casanova and animator Laura Cuello. Alba holds a degree in Fine Arts from the UPV, a Master’s in Art and Technology, and is a Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design as well as a Social Integration Specialist; Laura holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat de València and is a Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design in Artistic Photography from the EASD València.

Since 2017, we have been developing video-collage and motion graphics projects for national and international clients such as the Government of Spain, Caja Rural, À Punt TV, Save the Children, Ajuntament de València, Farmamundi, Isola, Sex School Berlin, Checks, Naranja Valenciana and Editorial Andana, among others.

We work across all kinds of projects: advertising in all its formats, film, television, theatre, immersive exhibitions and institutional campaigns.

Our work combines illustration, collage and animation into a very distinctive visual language. Somewhere along the way, our styles became completely intertwined. Ten years later, we continue building images and stories together… and sometimes we even think the same. And we still have a lot of fun (it’s company policy).
